From 2018, we have started implementing an expanded basic education program called PINTAR Program, to improve access to qualified primary and junior secondary school educations in 14 districts and 10 teacher training institutes in five provinces (North Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, East or Central Java, and East Kalimantan). Communication Specialist The Communication Specialist will be located in the Tanoto Foundation’s Provincial agent. Key Responsibilities A. Development and Dissemination Communication Materials » Under technical direction of the Communication Manager: » Ensure that all project communications materials (videos, modules, presentation, etc.) are available for provincial staff » Train provincial staff in to use the communication materials to optimize their works » Support the development of communication materials for national and provincial needs, including video of best practices, provincial fact sheets and newsletter production » Support and encourage staff and project beneficiaries to write stories documenting good practices for publication at website, newsletter and others » Support the presence of proper visibility of Tanoto Foundation at provincial’s event through development of communication outreach such as backdrop, banner, merchandise as per company policy » Any assignment or tasks requested by Management B. Reporting and Relationship Management » Work to ensure regular media coverage of the project and its impact within the province and partner districts to strengthen Tanoto Foundation branding as thought leadership abilities in education. Information technology includes, among others: » writing up of event on Tanoto Foundation’s own website and social media platform » preparing press conference and handout » briefing media on project activities » Monitor and report on outputs and results of program amplification at provincial level and national level » Maintain relationship with journalists from local media and national media, when significant Qualifications and expertise required: » Bachelors Degree in a significant area such as Communication, Journalism, or other significant disciplines, with at least 4 years of practice in communication, which include expertise sharing and advocacy, media engagement, social media, communication products planning and production, etc. » practice working with large and complex social development programs that cover a number of themes, are implemented in many provinces in Indonesia and involve various stakeholders; » Familiarity in working with donors and government officials from different institutions and Proven capability to establish and manage relations with media; » capability to work reliably and independently without supervision » Works well in multi-cultural environments, with high integrity and responsibilities » Good communication and interpersonal expertise » Language : Bahasa Indonesia & English Vacancies are open for Jambi, Kalimantan Timur, and Riau .
